Create a macro for “/hug.” While in any Battleground, stick close to your teammates but hang near the back, spamming the macro on any enemy player that dies until you’re 10 achievement points richer!
In Warsong Gulch, kill a player who is under the effects of the speed power-up. This one’s all about PvP! In the PVP menu, queue up for Warsong Gulch, a simple capture-the-flag battleground. Then go to the tunnels below each base, hide and wait. The speed power-up can only be found here, but you have just 10 seconds to kill an enemy before it wears off. So uses stuns/slows to keep the enemy in range.
Do you know how many World of Warcraft achievements exist? 931!
If you read PC Gamer, you’ll know that I grabbed these Top 12 from this pub.  I’ll release one a day for the next 12 days:
#2 – Kill 50 Rookery Whelps Within 15 Seconds:
The site of Leroy Jenkin’s infamous battlecry, enjoy the continued massacre of small animals in the Upper Blackrock Spire. (It was here that Leroy rushed into the dragon hatchery).
Follow in his footsteps with a couple of friends and aggro all the baby dragons you can by stepping on the eggs in the room. After spawning at least 50 of them, you can kill them all at once with AoE and trapse off to town with your new “Jenkins” in-game title.

#1 – Slay 15 Turkeys in Three Minutes
Look for Nifflevar in Howling Fjord (69/65) to find enough turkeys to pull this one off. Just don’t kill too many – or you’ll get the wrath of the turkey.

Ready to level faster? Here’s three WoW tips that’ll help you save time and energy when leveling:
Tip #1 – Stay away from “Auction House Addiction” until Level 60:
The Auction House is a great way to buy/sell gear, etc. But make note: most gear is best used at Level 60+. Save your money for mount items until then. A lot of what you’ll buy at lower levels will be replaced anyway.
Tip #2 – Money-making tradeskills are your new best friend.
Take the time to learn your trade skills – you’ll level faster and earn extra points. Focus on “Enchanting/Disenchant” and “Skinning” if you don’t know which to do first. It can be a bit time-consuming, but you’ll sell stuff later for much higher prices.
Other skills worth their weight: tailoring, mining and herbalism.
Tip #3 – Stop running around everywhere and focus on a particular area.
Study your quest, find an optimized route and finish the other “close-by” quests. Saves a ton of time and energy.
Have a tip you’d like us to share? Send it to info@warcraft-strategy-guide.com. Enjoy the game!
I wanted to address the top two questions I’ve been getting lately for World of Warcraft strategy.
A question I’m asked frequently: do I “grind mobs” for leveling, or do I “complete quests” for experience? Do both!
I believe you should be questing first for leveling, but don’t race through the levels at full-speed. Take time to kill each monster you face as you quest. The experience gained here may not seem like much, but it really adds up.
Additionally, don’t avoid the bad guys, take them out! You’ll get experience for doing this, plus you’ll increase your chances of finding rare pieces of gear that can be used or sold.
Next question: how do I level faster? I always answer, “why so fast? Enjoy the game!” Just like professional athletes, it takes time to master all the things you see others doing. Set a realistic goal – maybe one-to-two levels a day – and focus on having fun while learning the game.
I know, many of you are ultra-competitive, and your natural competitiveness is tough to hold back. If that’s you, then go for one of the WoW strategy guides I’ve reviewed and level as fast as you can. But you’ll still need the practice for things like PvP battles, etc.
On a final note, don’t lose your friends and family over World of Warcraft! It’s very addicting – but make sure you don’t let it consume you. Trust me on this one…
Check out what Tom Chilton, game director, has to say about this when interviewed by videogamer.com:
“I certainly think it’s possible that we could do some kind of micro-transaction stuff. Whether or not World of Warcraft ever goes the direction of, I guess like Anarchy Online has gone the direction of going free-to-play with micro-transactions. Whether we ever shift to a free-to-play model is really too hard to say at this point. Anything I say now could easily five years from now end up seeming like, oh my gosh, that was an incredibly dumb thing to say, how naive!”
In case you haven’t heard, word from Blizzard is that they’re working on a new service that will allow you to change sides. Horde to Alliance. Alliance to Horde. Per Blizzard:
“There’s still much work to do and many details to iron out, but the basic idea is that players will be able to use the service to transform an existing character into a roughly equivalent character of the opposing faction on the same realm. Players who ended up creating and leveling up characters on the opposite factions from their friends have been asking for this type of functionality for some time, and we’re pleased to be getting closer to being able to deliver it.”
